Background/Interesting Fact
I am a long-time amateur astronomer. Though most of my amateur observations have been of comets, I have recently started making visual and remote CCD observations of novae.
Professionally I was an astronomer at the Lunar and Planetary Lab at the University of Arizona where my work has focused on comets and asteroids, in particular color and lightcurve photometry of very small asteroids. For much of the past decade I was primarily involved with the OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission to near-Earth asteroid, (101955) Bennu. I am currently Chief Scientist at Ascending Node Technologies, LLC which develops of operations planning and science visualization software for planetary missions.
