For those who have a product idea that needs new silicon chips, Skywater (ex-Cypress I believe) offers designers FREE chip fabrication, assy and demo boards for open source projects. Not the most recent node, but what the heck!!

Maybe someone will make a 1000 band silicon silicon/InGaAS AS7343 and plunk it on a demo board with UV/ white / IR LEDs?
How about a one chip multi-color LED control chip with RF input for remote control and motor control to flip LED ring on and off instrument???
Similar to the christmas tree controller they made for someone else.
