I just downloaded the latest Newsletter. A great job.
I am curious why there is no section on spectroscopy. Over the past couple of months there has been a fair amount of spectral data posted on the recent novae. This is very interesting and certainly compliments the photometric data. I know others are also interested in what is going on with the AAVSO and Spectroscopy. What are the plans? Why no mention of the reported data in the latest Newsletter?
I have been communicating with Dr. Templeton about the Orion Project (which is both photometry and spectroscopy observing). It would have been nice to see some mention of that.
I am hoping things will imporve in this new year and the AAVSO will understand and appreciate the role of spectroscopy and embrace the contributions.
