My Alpy 600 spectrograph collected its first star light last night and CH Cyg seemed an appropriate and not too difficult target to start with. There are some new skills to learn to get the best results compared with high resolution spectroscopy but am pleased with the excellent repeatablity in this sequence of 5 20 min exposures. More details of the setup and data reduction here
thanks for the "heads up" François.
In case readers are not aware, CH Cyg was the subject of a short amateur spectroscopy campaign at a range of resolutions last year.
