AAVSO Special Notice #420 reports on the increasing brightness of the blazar OJ 287 as it emerges from conjunction. Please see the notice for details, light curves of this blazar in the AAVSO observing program for over 50 years, and instructions.

In my post on OJ 287 announcing AAVSO Special Notice #420, I said OJ 287 has been in the AAVSO observing program for over 50 years. I should have said over 40 years - sorry! Our earliest observation of OJ 287 is from 1973 and was made by Clint Ford (FD).
