I'm imaging SS Cyg in V and R. I'm a bit rusty on my photometry. Does AAVSO have mag listings for red of the comparison stars somewhere? I'm using MaximDL and V was pretty standard listing the mag shown in the photometry table but what to do for R?
Thanks and clear skies!
Henry,
Go the the VSP page https://www.aavso.org/apps/vsp/#
at the buttom you can choose the mag for many different filters.
Thanks totally missed that! :)
R does not equal "red".
What do you mean by this? For photometry we do see R interchanged with Red,
27053 - R-Bessell
Red photometric filter in UVBRI series - Durable, high-transmission sputtered coating. Though technically it's central wavelength is at 628nm. The color red does have a wider range at 700–635 nm. Is that what you mean?
