Antares B: V= 5.37; B-V= -0.11; spectral type B4Ve; sep. 2.9". Antares A range given (Combined mags. = 0.73 - 1.19 V). Analysis of AAVSO V and Otero visual data gives a main period of 2180 d. consistent with the spectroscopic period of 2167 d. found in 2013AJ....145...38P. The most likely explanation would be a LSP (Long Secondary Period) for which they predicted a 0.2 mag. amplitude and a temperature minimum in 2009. A 0.2 mag. minimum is indeed found in the long-term light curve in 2009. No traces of the periods around 1700 d. previously published were found but possible periods of 109 and 315 d. are present in the data. However, there are too few observations so more data are needed to confirm them. Elements in the table are for the minima of the LSP.
