1 GCVS Team Shell star. Dramatic spectral changes were observed [J.Surdej, J.P.Swings, BAAS 8, N2, 358, 1976.]. The variability is hardly periodic, though P ~100d is possible. Sometimes light fluctuations on several days' time scale are observed [A.M.van Genderen, AsAp 14, 48, 1971.]. IR excess [D.A.Allen, MN 161, 145, 1973.]. For a detailed spectroscoric study, with evidence for the outflow of matter from the surface, see [P.W.Merrill, ApJ 113, N1, 55-59, 1951.]. Considerable magnetic field [H.W.Babcock, ApJ Suppl 3, N30, 1958.].
