Apparently independently discovered by Hideo Nishimura and by Yuji Nakamura (CBAT "Transient Object Followup Reports"). Prior to discovery on 2021 March 25, no brightenings had been recorded by the ASAS-SN Sky Patrol since 2015 March 21.
