Hi everybody. You can tell a beginner in the study of variable stars. I have a SW 200PDS EQ6 R Pro telescope and a ZWO ASI294MC Pro astrocamera (CMOS), I wanted to study variable stars. Visually, it seems to be easy to observe, but how can you send data to AAVSO using an astrocamera? I looked at the section where there are programs for exporting data, but either the program is already outdated or paid. I myself use Cartes du Ciel and the APT (Astro Photography Tool) program. Yesterday I downloaded the APT (Aperture Photometry Tool) program, is there any way to do photometry using a CMOS camera and send it to AAVSO? Thank you in advance.

Nikita,
I'm not sure if you are asking 1) how to get started in making CMOS observations and then submitting magnitude measurements to the AAVSO , or 2) you an experienced observer and just want to know how to submit data.
For question 2: AAVSO observers use WebObs. You can learn about this here:
https://www.aavso.org/webobs
Most photometry software packages used by amateurs have a tool for creating an AAVSO data file. The Aperture Photometry Tool looks like a sophisticated professional program. It does not, currently, output an AAVSO file. I just corresponded with Russ Laher at CalTech, the developer. He asked for the file specifications. APT may do this soon.

Then how do you start making CMOS observations and then sending the magnitude measurements to the AAVSO? It's just that APT turned out to be the only program I was able to get. The program is complicated, I agree, and I will have to figure it out.
Nikita:
The ASI 1294MC is a color camera not monochrome. Read the AAVSO DSLR Observing Manual under Education / Observing Manuals.

Nikita:
Just scroll down the AAVSO Web Page and look for Education>Observing Manuals.. Don't use the search box.
It only takes a small amount of effort! There is lots of information on the AAVSO web site. You should spend a little time looking there to become familiar with it..

Does anyone have instructions or a youtube video on using APT and creating a report through a SLR camera (ZWO ASI294MC Pro)? Thank you in advance
