Hello everybody.
My name is Eurimar, I'm Brazilian and I live in the interior of a city on the north coast of Ceará.
I've been observing variable stars for 3 years and I really like the eclipsing binary type, but I know little about observing them and how to do the process effectively.
That said, I would like to find some other observers who have experience in these stars to guide me and help me get into the world of EB's.
Hello Eurimar!
There are some AAVSO videos on YouTube. They are not designed to be a well-organized or step-by-step guide to observing EBs, but they might be useful:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiivkjwTM-Q

If you search YouTube for "AAVSO" "AAVSO How-To" etc, you'll find more videos. The above 4 are just ones that I am familiar with (because I was a speaker in them!)
Also, have you checked out the AAVSO EB Section webpages? They haven't been updated in a while, but there is some useful information there.
Perhaps some of this will be useful to you.
Kind regards,
Gary Billings
Thank you very much for the tips, I will watch the lectures/videos you sent me.
Eurimar:
If you are an AAVSO member you can formally request assignment of a mentor at this link: https://www.aavso.org/mentor-program.
Regards,
Kevin
I haven't checked out this tool yet as I'm not a member of the AAVSO, I'm getting started now and I'm still looking into the possibility of paying the membership fee. Thank you very much!
