Hi everybody,
this post is to announce some changes in VSX.
The growth in the number of submissions and revisions that we are receiving from individual users, coupled with the increasing number of publications including hundreds or thousands of new variables that need to be added to our database and the lack of manpower to deal with all those tasks at the same time, motivated slight changes in our policy.

The new policy has been added to the Guidelines page.
Basically, we require some previous knowledge on variable star light curves and analysis before attempting a VSX submission and we set a limit of 1 submission per day by the same individual or group.
This will give us more time to keep VSX up to date.
We have also added a page with Frequently Asked Questions including some of the issues that are raised more often during the moderation process, some mistakes that are very common and some things that may be useful for people planning to submit their first star or those still unexperienced.
