thank you for the alert. Here is a low-resolution spectrum of Z CMa I took some days ago. It remembers me a bit the spectra of novae in the first stages, with P-Cygni profiles in the H-beta line and the Fe II triplet. Applying the Doppler shift in the H-beta band, an expanding gas speed of 630 km/s results if I'm not mistaked.
