Welcome to the new AAVSO website. The look may have changed, but most of the content is the same as ever. If you have any questions or issues please let us know at aavso@aavso.org. For less critical issues or just to leave feedback, you can let us know by clicking the blue feedback button that should be located on the left side of the webpage about halfway down.
There is one thing which you should note. The subscriptions to forums (and only forums) is currently off. We are working on it and it should be available again soon.

1. I preferred to see the latest forum discussions shown at the top of the main page. This has now gone away, so I do not know what the most current or important announcement or discussion is!
2. The Webobs interface takes longer time to enter individual observations, because:
a. Have to choose the type of obs with each entry
b. It is much too spread out, with unnecessarily long fields. I prefer a very compact format which fills in fields from the previous entry. The old one was better.
c. It did not remember my chart used from before! This is very time consuming, to go look up a chart code for each entry. BAD!
3. A possible JD/Date problem. The date was MINUS ONE DAY as shown in the list of observations just entered!? The fractional date seemed correct though. On the main page "latest obs", it also showed MINUS ONE DAY. However, when I checked by searching the DB, the JD/Date was shown correctly.
So, we have some things need attention!
