This is classed as a low-amplitude delta sct star, but I have been observing it (though not currently) for several years with the now-defunct Binocular Sky Society. Wayne Lowder's article (JAAVSO, vol. 16, no. 2, p. 94) which mentions unpredictable eclipse-like dips from a normally constant maximum, calls for more observations and he suggests that the classification is wrong. Has anyone else taken up his challenge in that article?

Another star he mentioned in a slightly later small paper is EI Cep, which also appeared to show anomalous behaviour for an algol. Both of these stars are near to star-forming regions.
