Background/Interesting Fact
I became interested in globular clusters when I looked at M13 through the Lick Observatory's 36 inch refractor telescope.
I’m a retired volunteer serving as the AAVSO Solar Section Chair. I write the monthly Solar Bulletin with the help of Kim Hay, Sara Beck. Together we at AAVSO maintain a database of over 70 active visual solar observers, with observations covering 70 years, and 15 VLF SID observers monitoring solar flares.
I also served on the AAVSO council and the budget committee, hopefully helping to keep a balanced budget for the long-term. Also, received the Peltier Award in Casper WY, for the August 21, 2017 eclipse.
