User Guide Notes for Transform Applier

Ed Wiley has put together a users guide for Transform Applier to help those who have not yet taken the plunge to get their CCD observations transformed. It is available as an attachement to the TA page: https://www.aavso.org/transform-applier.

User Guide results in my example

And thank you George, for a great program.

To all: The results mentioned in the TestTC part of the Guide and those reported in the files have been significantly improved by re-analyzing the M67 transformation coefficients in Transform Generator. Frankly, I thought the errors were higher than I might expect. Previously I had been using Excel, liking a "hands on" approach. Wrong, TG is better. Updated coefficients to be used in the example data:

  1. Tbv = 1.223 [0.013]
  2. Tb_bv = 0.129 [0.008]
  3. Tv_bv = --0.053 [0.006] (at least that one was oK)
  4. Tvi = 1.057 [0.007]
  5. Ti_vi = --0.113 [0.016]
