Hello! I am pretty new here; I have some data on the B and V magnitudes on SN 2023ixf from last summer and I've come here to upload it. Whilst trying to upload individually, I am met with a page with the text "The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later."
Doing separate browsing in the forums, I saw that I should round my decimal places to 6 digits, after doing so, however, I still receive the error. Are there any issues with the servers right now or am I doing something wrong?
Hi Jacob,
You don't have to shorten the decimal part of the JD - for a while I thought that was a source of upload errors. However, it turned out that there was another problem with the file that was causing the trouble. If you feel sure that your data are in the AAVSO Extended File format (file format options are here: https://www.aavso.org/aavso-file-format-specifications), please send me the file (as an attachment to an email) and I will look at it to see if I can determine the problem. Send it to me at <eowaagen@aavso.org>.
Thanks,
Elizabeth Waagen, AAVSO HQ
I was using the individual feature (https://www.aavso.org/webobs/individual) when I got the error. unless that is no longer working?
