I am working with an astronomer on a research project measuring transit timing variances. We are in need of additional observations before he can publish. When looking at the AAVSOnet proposal instructions I see it mentioned that time series are not considered favorably.
Perhaps with the exoplanet work having become more prevalent with AAVSO photometry this has changed?
My question is: Should I even bother taking the time to write a proposal for a time series in the area of four to five hours duration? We have multiple targets in process with numerous future transits in the queue.
Thanks,
