Profile page error

I have attempted to subscribe to alert messages and other information from AAVSO, but always run into a problem. Whenever I go to the Account > Profile page I get an error "to many redirects". I have tried this on multiple browsers on my PC and mobile. 

Digging into this problem I found this

The Profile page still gives me an error: www.aavso.org redirected you too many times.

Checking the data being sent it seems the profile app is performing a redirect loop. It may be doing this if it cannot find me in the database.

To be specific, The Profile link points to www.aavso.org/user/68462/app_profile (which has a temporarily moved status; http status 302). 

 That redirects to /member/ (also temporarily moved) to www.aavso.org/login?destination=/apps/member (temporarily moved) which redirects back to /member/ and repeats until it times out with an error

Clearing the cache, cookies, restarting etc etc does not solve this problem. 

I see someone else reported this problem over a year ago (may be a different version). I have had this issue since May when I returned to AAVSO after many years (pre-web).
