There has been an interesting flurry of ATELs about this object, detected by WISE in mid-infra red on 24 March 2010 and added to the WISE All-Sky Source Catalogue.

The OGLE IV observations with an I-band filter (last link) indicate a bright object (I-mag = 11.1) on 11 March 2010, wondering if anyone might have picked this up incidentally?  This time coincided with the start of my widefield DSLR nova search over this area and my very first shots from 12, 19 and 22 March 2010 appear to show a faint red source at the position.  Next shot on 8 April 2010 shows nothing, nor do later shots.  However the resolution (small image size) & depth (limiting mag ~12.5 with severe massaging, bad SNR) on these early Sgr shots of mine is extremely poor, and certainly insufficient to be sure.  Seemed brightest on the 19th, quite a deep red.

FWIW here's a link to the shot on the 19th, using a ridiculously enlarged crop.  This was a stack of four subs, and a check of each sub showed a 'source' at the nova position.  But taken individually the 'source' is indistinguishable from the abundant red noise in each sub, very sad.

Anyway, hopefully someone out there might actually have some useful data on this nova hidden away.

Cheers -
