A new intermediate set of products from the GAIA project has been issued that includes items of interest to variable-star observers. The data are accessible as item I/361 in the CDS VizieR catalogue-query service. One of the news items is a catalogue of half a million stars in omega Centauri. But there are also lightcurve and radial-velocity data for about 10,000 variable stars and long lists of data for gravitational lens candidates.
