QHY600 mono cmos camera installation problem (Win 8.1 - 64 bit)

Hi,

I have a brandnew QHY600 mono cmos camera and it's not working.

The Stable Ver. 20220817   All-In-One Pack （Driver, SDK and Software) for WINDOWS   is not working.

 

 

Also, after the last Beta Ver. 20230509

 

Destination location:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\QHYCCD\QHYCamerasDriver

Start Menu folder:
      QHYCCD

Additional tasks:
      Note: For installed drivers, please keep them selected if you want to retain them.
         QHY5III   Cameras Driver
         QHY5II    Cameras Driver
         QHY695A   Cameras Driver
         QHY814A   Cameras Driver
         QHY90A    Cameras Driver
         QHY16200A Cameras Driver
         QHY16803A Cameras Driver
         QHY09000A Cameras Driver

There is no QHY600 entry !!!???

 

APT or Sharpcap, does not show a QHY camera,

Windows is telling: "The last plugged in usb device, is not recocnized.."

Computer: Win 8.1,  64-Bit

ASCOM: latest: 6.6 SP1 (from today 661.3673)

 

How can I solve this?

I have two QHY600M CMOS cameras

Hi Bernhard,

I have two QHY600M CMOS cameras working, one since 2021 and another one recently since beginning of 2023.

You need to install at least the QHY5III driver as it contains also the information for the QHY600. There is no special QHY600 driver in the All-in one package.I am not sure though whether those drivers work under WIN 8.1 as you mention in your forum post. I run them under Win10 and Win 11.

You can also contact me via the BAV forum if you prefer to write in German.

The QHY600 is working on…

My QHY600 is working on another WIN 10 Pro (a colleques PC with also an QHY600 cmos camera) with  QHYCCD_Win_AllInOne.22.10.14.18.exe  So far, so good.

 

So it's the question, if Win 8.1 - 64 bit is going to be working also...

The correct QHY600 driver is called: QHY5IIISeries_IO driver

In the Windows device Manager there is an item:

other devices - QHY600U3G20-20220630

no compatible drivers installed    E0000228

 

Is there a Windows minimum requirement?

Can I do a compatibility modus on the QHY driver?

1.QHY5III568:Modified capture function.

 

....There is a Win 7 patch due to readme.txt:

For Windows7,you need install kb4474419 and kb4490628 patch firstly,x64 Windows7 install x64 patch,x86 Windows7 install x86 patch,and restart computer,after that,you can install camera driver.
And this patch is only effective for Windows7 SP1,if you use Windows SP0,you need update it to SP1.
