I just finished painting a light-tight enclosure and used the Krylon 4290 Camouflage ultra-flat black paint.  I've found it to work well in the past.

I also have a bottle of a special flat black acryllic paint that Gary Walker gave me: Blk3.0 from culturehustle.com.  A similar product (Black 2.0) is available from the Stuart Semple brand through Amazon and other online stores.  I've also used the Testors EPM25-2549 flat black marking pen when doing things like blackening filter edges.

Does anyone else have some favorite products?  The problem is always: (a) how flat is it; and (b) is it really black, especially at far-red wavelengths?

Singularity Black

For small items, you might consider sending to Nanolabs for a coating in Singularity Black. Similar to Vantablack but not proprietary, it uses nanotubes and must be applied carefully/safely in a ventilator/hood. Spectral response can be found on their website. They also offer an oil based paint called Gravity Black.

Black 2.0 and 3.0 are both made by Stuart Semple (culturehustle is his shop). I've used Black 2.0 in Preval spray cans. I did not test the spectrum, but visually it is quite black after a few coats. Never used the Krylon, so I can't compare.

I also found a black paint used in some NASA projects for ±$600 a gallon.
