Happy New Years,
My mid winter project was to use R and SQLite to plot my (daily) sunpot numbers vs the main database for 2015. AAVSO line is red and mine is blue.
The plot consists of 187 days of observing(less days of "0" spots). What I find interesting is that while my numbers are considerably less than the group totals, the plots run pretty much parallel ....

Being parallel is a good thing! This is where the K factor (observers constant) comes in, to bring that parallel line into alignment with the overall line.
