VY Scl is currently in its faint state, around m(V) = 18 +/- 1 magnitude. Observers are asked to obtain filtered observations if possible, with V-band photometry taking priority. Because the object is faint, high S/N data would require very long integration times. A signal-to-noise of at least 10 is preferred, but please keep exposure times below 900 seconds if possible.
