Sunspot activity is increasing as our Sun is leaving cycle 24 and entering into the 25. After northern regions 12768/69/70 it's now the turn of the southern hemisphere to be active with two new sunspot groups that just emerged from the photosphere. More groups are expected to form as cycle 25 progresses, so it's the right time to engage in the next CHOICE course on Observing and Counting Sunspots scheduled to begin the next September 14.

As in the past edition we'll learn how to recognize, count and classify sunspots with the aim to be prepared to follow the new solar cycle and to contribute to the AAVSO Solar Section activity.
