How does the checkbox "Transform" on the Single Image Photometry page work?

Hi!

I'm learning to transform my data, and have successfully produced several versions of transformation coefficients with the transform generator. And I have uploaded an ini-file to my telescope setup.

THen there is this checkbod "Transform" on the photometry page (not the Transform Applier). How is that supposed to work? WHen I check it and hit Refresh, I get error messages - "Transformation Status: Not transformed" and the boxes are colored red (see screenshot). What is needed to make this work?

Color of Target

Magnus:

The 'normal' procedure for transformation is to use two filter images. However, it is 'possible' to transform a single filter image IF you know the color (e.g. B-V) of the target/variable star. This color can be 'assumed' to have a certain value rather than actually measured by using both filter images. However, this must be done cautiously since most variables change color during the change in phase.

IF you click on the target on an image, you will notice that there is a box where the 'assumed color' of the target can be entered/updated. See the attached screenshot.

IF you do this the transformed magnitude will be calculated.

As noted above, be cautious using this procedure!

Edit: For some reason, right now, I cannot add the attachment. I'll try again??

Thanks, then I get it! Yes,…

Thanks, then I get it! Yes, I was wondering about this as I have understood that transformations requires two filter images. So the best route then, is the transform applier - which requires not to use ensemble comparision.

OK!

Hi!

Yes, great!

But for time series - the only way to do transforms is via the Transform Applier, right? Or with Lesvephotometry, that also can handle ensemble, if I get it right?

I am not really there yet, to be able to submit transformed data that I trust, but very close :)
