tonight I was in somewhat of a hurry to plot some new charts (to take advantage of the 5 minutes of clear night skies per December here in VA) and failed to notice the latest VSP deprovement. For my 'scope and its widest FOV eyepiece, I get an almost perfect match using a FOV of 120 arc minutes and limit 11.5. After four attempts (it defaulted first to 7, then to 8. . . . I saw that the form no longer accepts user inputs but requires instead the use of a pull down list. Whose idea was that??
No matter, I will adapt. And I must say I will accept even more strange gizmos on VSP if only you will revert to the former method of chart naming, namely according to date. I mean, really, is it necessary to label a chart generated on 1Dec16 as X16936RN, and another, generated two minutes later, as X174004ABW?
