Does the BSM team get "comments" that I make on the appropriate AAVSPOnet proposal form? If not, who is on the BSM scheduling team? I'd like to contact them about changing the centering of one of my proposed fields to get a better comp star (it is outlined in a comment on my proposal #74).
Thanks.
This was handled off-line by a BSM team member, but I wanted to post here for completeness.
After a proposal is accepted, the BSM section leaders use a program to create an observing plan that is automatically sent to the telescopes. While emails are usually sent, asking the researcher to examine incoming images for a new target and inform the AAVSOnet team of any problems (miscentering, wrong exposure, etc.), I think what is missing is the creation of a "proposal advocate", who is the contact person for a proposal. In that way, a researcher knows exactly who to contact for questions. I'll suggest this to the team for future proposals. Posting on this forum works too, especially for the time being!
