Google to AAVSO

This was a personal Google web page; we are now moving to an AAVSO-branded one (similar to the exoplanet and LPV). Is there anything in particular that you liked about the content of the page? This is an opportunity to revamp it!

Best wishes - clear skies,

Stella.

Yes I liked getting the list

Yes I liked getting the list of CVs that are in outburst in the previous 48 hours and I use this to gather data and submit to the AAVSO, Cant do this anymore without this page.

Alerts

By far the best way to alert the CV community (not just us) is to subscribe to CVnet-outburst...

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/cvnet-outburst/info

You can configure to receive alerts or not by e-mail, and post your outburst detections when detected.  Be sure to check beforehand whether your outburst hasn't been reported by someone else earlier. The message history on the web page will tell you this.

VSnet also produces an outburst 'list'.  You can see details here..
