People who are subscribed to AAVSOnet projects have their images from the network delivered to a ftp site. That site has changed recently: it is now ftp.aavsonet.aavso.org

Recently at HQ we had a server crash that took down the old ftp site. It is restored now, but the new one only contains images from about Aug 5, 2017. If you had images on the ftp site that you had not downloaded to your own systems, please contact me (SGEO@gasilvis.net) and I will see that they get restored to the ftp site. That is, the crash of the ftp site did not lose any aavsonet data!

Keep in mind that the rule going forward is that images offered on ftp.aavsonet.aavso.org will be kept there for only about 3 months. The ftp site is not meant to be an archive.

When new data is posted to the ftp site you should be receiving a "You got data!" email. If you don't get these emails, please review that your AAVSO account has a correct email and that you have an AAVSO observer code.

Cheers,
George

Checking accepted proposals for scheduling

Hey George,

Is there an easy way for users with accepted proposals to check if imaging has been scheduled for a proposal?  Thanks.

AAVSOnet what jobs are pending?

You ask: " Is there an easy way for users with accepted proposals to check if imaging has been scheduled for a proposal? "

No, not really. It's a reasonable question, but the current system is not that integrated.

If you can make the question more specific (proposal number, target, etc) I could track it down.

And the more requests for that kind of information the higher in the to-do queue that kind of access will be created.
