Hi,

I've just moved to an apartment in town where any serious observing is impossible. There is an organization, Deep Sky West, outside of Santa Fe, NM-where I live-that rents space where you can setup you own equipment in their remote roll off roof observatory. It costs about $700/month, which is outside my finanial means. I would be interested in forming a group of 4 or 5 people to share the cost and also share experience and expertise. I have a 10" Meade SCT with an Alpy 600 with guiding and calibration modules. I've posted some of my spectra profiles in the AAVSO Spectoscopic Database under observer 'BRIE'.

Thanks

remote alpy operation

Hi Dick,

You might know them already but a group which might be able  to give advice in setting up a remote system  is the 2SPOT team who are running a remote ALPY600 setup in Chile from France

https://2spot.org/EN/

Several of the members hang out on the ARAS forum where they post some of their results

Cheers

Robin
