VPhot error note

I think I understand the issue when the VPhot error message includes the phrase "The specified module could not be found". It might be something called "ASP Double Postback". We know that all them necessary modules are there, so that is not the specific problem.

Alas, I don't know how to fix it. But I can advise ways to avoid it: It can be precipitated if you accidently double click on the submit button that starts an involved process. The extra click could be a twitch or impatience over slow response. But it ends in a fault and frustration. So, don't double click!

Sorry about that. Best I can offer at this time.

I understand that your

I understand that your experience makes you say this, but in this case it is not. I tried the operation many times even with different browsers and the result is always the same. I'm sure I did not give the same command twice. I was running a series of stacks without problems when the error began to appear and from that moment it was no longer possible to do this. I also tried to run some stacks again that I had already done to rule out that there was some problem in some of my images, but it does not. Also now I have a new error even when I try to generate the report for AAVSO. I also attach this new error. For the moment I can not analyze my shots with VPHOT and my observational activity is suspended.

Vphot errors.

Ivaldo, thank you for your notes and comment.

I do wish that I understood what is going wrong with VPhot so that I could fix it.

Double-Clicking Issue(?)

I have a wireless mouse that sometimes double-clicks when a single click is all I wanted, and all I did.  Can you be sure you weren't facing a hardware or software glitch like this?  Are you sure you did not, in effect, click twice?

Clear skies,

Problem partially solved

The problem during the stack today has not occurred. I can not know if anything has changed on the server side, but I know for sure that nothing has changed on the client side. It is still present the second error that I reported when I try to generate the report for AAVSO starting from the data kept in the analysis log.

Not working for me

I've seen this error two days in a row.

MacOS. Tried both chrome and safari without success.

Maybe that's a useful datapoint.

Started working again this

Started working again this morning.  Maybe another helpful debugging point:

When it failed, it failed fast... almost immeadiately.  When it worked it spun its wheels a little before returning something.

Makes me wonder if its a disk cache issue... it fails when the dependancy has not been pre-cached in memory and it can't access it quickly enough.

Today still error

The stacking error was again presented today. I am ABSOLUTELY SURE that I have not double-clicked or acted too quickly. I tried with Microsoft Edge, with Microsoft IE and with Chrome getting the same result with my PC with Windows 10. I switched to Mac with Safari and this time it worked. I do not know what to think, but there is certainly something wrong.

Today again I can not run the stack

Today again I can not run the stack. The error message is always the same. Compared to yesterday, the news is that it does not work even with the Mac. The situation is really annoying, especially because my reports seem to me not to be considered. Am I the only VPHOT user who finds this problem?

Stack Issue

Hi Ivaldo:

No, you are not the only user seeing this problem. Unfortunately, it is intermittent but frequent. frown

We have not been able to determine the cause yet.  For most, it occurs for a while but on another day may not occur. This is annoying for ALL of us and George and I hope to resolve it at some point. It has been difficult!

Sorry, Ken

I'm glad to know that you're trying to solve the problem

I'm glad to know that you're trying to solve the problem. Only now I have been able to analyze my observations uploaded this morning, and everything worked well.
