I ordered a 50mm square CBB filter from Astrodon (Farpoint), they sent me a 65mm square CBB filter; totally useless to me.

It would appear to me that either of these two filters from Chroma should fit the bill. Am I wrong?

CBB Filter

Hi Steve,

The choice of a filter for exoplanet work depends on what is the objective - all of this assumes, of course, that you are using a monochrome CCD or CMOS.  For simple detection that a transit event occurred, a clear (or no) filter is OK. If you are trying to get good estimates on, for example, transit depth, then a standard photometric filter would be useful. A Johnson-Cousins V filter is a good, all-purpose filter for this. However, if you are wanting to participate in exoplanet ground-based follow-up observations (e.g., for TESS), then a filter and/or in the blue and red passband would be good for doing chromaticity measurements.

Thanks Dennis

I am beginning to doubt I will ever get a CBB filter from Astrodon, they haven't responded to emails or phone calls for three days.

I have Chroma UBVRI filters and a QHY600M camera.I will use the V filter.

Thank you!
