October 11, 2006: Daniel W. E. Green, Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams, reports (Central Bureau Electronic Telegram 666) that S. Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports the discovery of a possible supernova in UGC 4904 by K. Itagaki, Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan, at unfiltered CCD magnitude 13.8 on images taken around Oct. 9.752 UT using a 0.60-m f/5.7 reflector. Itagaki reported that nothing is visible at this location on the Digitized Sky Survey.
The object was discovered independently by T. Puckett and R. Gorelli at unfiltered CCD magnitude 13.8 on images taken Oct. 10.33 UT using a 0.35-m reflector at Ellijay, GA, in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search.

Please observe visually or photometrically with a B, V, and/or Ic filter.
Report observations to the AAVSO as 0910+42 VARUGC4904. Please be sure to indicate what chart/comparison star(s) you used.
Note that CBET 666 includes information about observations from 2004 of what may be this object that led to questions about the nature of the object seen in 2004.
