Active Dates: Nov. 3, 1997 – Nov. 3, 1997

Abstract:

This notice informs about the superoutburst of the SU UMa subclass cataclysmic variable EF Peg, as observed by Thomas Burrows and Patrick Schmeer. It also requests monitoring of U Geminorum for observations with EUVE and RXTE satellites in collaboration with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory astronomers.

Justification:

Monitoring of EF Peg is requested for its current superoutburst and to search for superhumps. Monitoring of U Geminorum is requested to inform astronomers for observations with EUVE and RXTE satellites as soon as it starts its outburst.
