A new observing campaign on the YSO AA Tau kicks off today. Taurus is a bear to observe through August and into September - it's an early morning region of the sky - but THAT IS WHY OUR HELP IS NEEDED. For the professional observatories, it is a difficult time slot, and many of the US ones are offline now because of the US Southwest monsoon season. WITHOUT YOUR VISUAL/CCD SNAPSHOT OBSERVATIONS, THE SATELLITE OBSERVATIONS PLANNED FOR AA TAU WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE. Please see AAVSO Alert Notice 488 for details.
Many thanks for your help! and good observing - Elizabeth Waagen, AAVSO HQ
