Introductory Variable Star Presentations

Do you need some ideas for an introductory variable star talk at your local astronomy club? Are you new to variable star observing and would like an explanation of the basics?

Below are variable star talks that AAVSO observers have created for their own use to inform the public about variable star observing. They were contributed to this page to help others create their own introductory talks and for anyone interested in introductory material. If you use any material on this page, credit to the author is appreciated.

If you have an introductory-level presentation that you would like to contribute to this page, please send it to webmaster@aavso.org. Thank you!

If you are giving a talk and would like to hand out pamphlets about the AAVSO, please contact us at aavso@aavso.org and we will send some to you.

Posters and talks of a more scientific nature, may be found on the Variable Star Posters and Talks page.
